Farley Foundation Veterinary Assistance
The Farley Foundation subsidizes non-elective veterinary care for financially eligible pet owners in Ontario. The foundation says it helps any animal whose primary purpose is companionship, with no species restrictions. Eligible care includes surgery, some dental surgery, hospitalization and diagnostics. Applications can only be submitted by veterinarians, and the veterinarian or clinic must be an Ontario Veterinary Medical Association member. The foundation lists eligibility pathways including seniors receiving the Federal Guaranteed Income Supplement, disabled individuals receiving specified disability benefits, people receiving Ontario Works, households with annual income below $35,000, and certain supportive-housing settings with live-in pets.
